Association "Merletto veneziano"

The main goal of Association "Merletto Veneziano",born on May 24th, 2005, is the revival and spread of the old-fashioned art of lace in the two traditional techniques of  Burano needle lace and Pellestrina bobbin lace. 

Nowadays, as well as in the past, venetian lacemakers get on creating works of extraordinary beauty. The teaching of this precious art, as well as the lace shows organised by the Association, are intended as a contribute to save lace from decadence and oblivion.
